The 23-24 school year marks my 19th year in education and my first year at St. Bede and I am excited to work with the students, staff, parents, and community this coming year! I received my Bachelors of Arts in Secondary English Education; Minor in Spanish from Purdue University in Indiana and my Masters of Science in Communications from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. I have endorsements in Curriculum & Instruction and am currently enrolled in a second Master's Program for Educational Leadership. I've spent most of my professional career teaching 6-8th grade ELA, and the last three years as an Instructional Coach supporting teachers with curriculum, best practices, engagement strategies, and data-driven instruction. I live right here in Lake Villa with my husband (AJ) and two sons, Anton and Owen. We love camping, traveling, hanging by the pool, anything to do with animals/nature, and football; I prefer B1G10 football, while my husband likes the NFL! Personally, I love reading, sweet tea, cooking, watching The Food Network, and all things country music.
