Extended Day Program

St. Bede is proud to provide an excellent before and after school program (EDP). The program runs on all school days.  The morning session runs from 6:00 a.m. until the building is open for students to go to their classroom. The after school program begins after the last bell and continues to 6:00 p.m. Options for enrollment in EDP include unlimited usage, daily usage in either am or pm sessions, weekly calendar or periodic drop-in/emergency use. Features of the Program

• Daily extra-curricular activities
  We have carefully designed a well-run after-school program that involves a combination of homework assistance, play, and hands-on activities. Our program will keep your child mentally stimulated and actively engaged in the activities we have planned for them. While we do believe in the advancement of the academic education of your child, we are also firm believers in educating them with hands-on activities.

• Playground time
  It is important to have properly planned and well-structured days, but we don’t want your children to feel as if this is an extension of their school day or extra lessons that they’re taking. Because of this, we have specifically designed our programs to consist of time dedicated to doing homework, but also time dedicated to playing. Playtime is very important and helps the development of social and emotional behaviors, as well as physical and cognitive development. There will be both structured play, where we teach your children the skills of following instructions and playing with others in a fun and interactive way, but we also encourage free play. This allows your child to explore their own creativity and imagination and we are here to facilitate this process.

• Afterschool Snacks 
  Children may bring their own snacks or pay a dollar for snacks provided by the school.
