We are amid preparations for the two-week transition to virtual learning in early January. The Office of Catholic Schools (OCS) remains committed to helping each school provide high-quality virtual learning during this time.
Great News! St. Bede opens for weekday Masses beginning the week of July 13th! Weekend Masses will begin Sat, July 18 at 5:30pm & Sun, July 19 at 8am and 11am.
I want to share with you an update regarding St. Bede Church. We will be applying for phase two next week (week of July 6), and if all goes well, we will begin having daily Masses at St. Bede Church starting on Monday, July 13.

Catholic school buildings will open this fall. Please view THIS VIDEO about our plan to safely and successfully open the doors to students. I am looking forward to seeing you and your children back in our Catholic schools. Don’t hesitate! Register your child for the school next year now. click article for full information.
The Archdiocese would like a record of the parishioners who come to a particular Mass. The purpose of this list is to provide information in the event that someone who attended the Mass gets sick at a later date. This is a safety issue. That being said, I would ask everyone who comes to St. Peter Church (or St. Bede when it reopens) to give your name to the Greeter or sign in when you enter. You can also call the rectory to inform them that you will be at Mass (please give the Mass time). If you wish, you can email Jane at jnischan@ourladylakesparish.org or Becky at bserna@ourladylakesparish.org with the information. Again, this is being done for safety reasons. I apologize for the inconvenience, and I want to thank everyone for their patience in this matter. Attached is the full Guide to Coming to Mass.
We have been given directives from the Archdiocese to enter into Phase 2. In keeping with the parish reopening guidelines, I want to start the weekend Masses at St. Peter Church. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to reopen St. Bede Church at this time, but we should be allowed to enter Phase 1 soon at St. Bede Church followed quickly by Phase 2. I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding in this matter.
A letter from Father George outlining the continuing plans in the reopening of St.Peter's Church in Antioch. Also attached is a listing of the hours and guidelines that will be followed with the reopening of the church. Please read through both attachments to become familiar with our current situation.
Finally! I have a little bit of good news to report (for a change). The Archdiocese has given some guidelines of how we will begin to open our churches.
I am writing to you, again, to encourage you in these unusual times. It is important for all of us to remain healthy. Our government has taken a lot of steps to ensure our physical well-being but, I do not think enough has been done in other areas.

Dear Catholic School Parents and Guardians, Earlier today, Gov. Pritzker announced the extension of the statewide closure of all schools in Illinois through the remainder of the academic year. As this announcement impacts Catholic schools, our Catholic school buildings will remain closed for the rest of the 2019/20 school year.
We will be posting an Easter Sunday Mass broadcast from Our Lady of the Lakes, however the parish will not be posting any videos for Triduum because of diocesan requirements for those services. However, you will have the opportunity to watch on TV or stream those services through the Archdiocese of Chicago. The link is: https://radiotv.archchicago.org/television/broadcast-masses
